Volleyball Game Preview: Neoga Indians vs. Paris Tigers

The Neoga Indians will take on the Paris Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Neoga will bounce into Monday's contest after beating North Clay, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cardinals on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Cardinals since October 19, 2019.

In the two sets Neoga was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-13, 25-13.

Paris hadn't beaten Robinson on the road since October 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Maroons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Paris took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11.

Neoga better keep an eye on Sara Staley. She was instrumental in Paris' win, getting eight digs and three aces.

Neoga's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 7-24. As for Paris, their win bumped their record up to 22-10.
