Volleyball Recap: Buena Takes a Loss

Buena was the 2-0 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell just short of the Mountain Lions by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gracelyn Kelsay paced Buena's offense, picking up six kills. Kelsay got some help from Mariana Bowers and her 12 assists. Finally, Brentt Shreve kept Buena's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Buena's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
