Volleyball Recap: Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Mendoza Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

The Centennial Knights beat the Pebblebrook Falcons 2-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Mendoza led the charge by getting seven assists and four digs. Evelyn Hunnicutt also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got Centennial back to even at 5-5. As for Pebblebrook, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lassiter on the 19th. As for Pebblebrook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Cambridge on the 19th.
