Baseball Game Preview: Garber Dukes vs. Sandusky Wolves

The Garber Dukes will venture away from home to take on the Sandusky Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Garber has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Garber had just enough and edged out Chesaning 7-5.

Nathan Foret made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Foret was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Foret wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Inda, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Lukas Neering also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Sandusky didn't have quite enough to beat Brown City on Thursday and fell 9-7.

Daniel Tovar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Tyler Bush was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Garber's record now sits at 10-6-1. As for Sandusky, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
