Football Recap: Connor Kmetz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Riverview over Brentwood

Riverview lost against Brentwood back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Riverview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Connor Kmetz, who threw for 108 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Riverview's success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Brentwood, their record now sits at 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview will face off against Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Commodores' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
