Football Recap: Springdale Comes Up Short

While it was Springdale who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Bishop Kelley who put up more. The Bulldogs took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Comets 7-0 in the first quarter.

Springdale now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bishop Kelley, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springdale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rogers Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Bishop Kelley, they will face off against Charles Page at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
