Softball Recap: Petaluma Takes a Loss

Petaluma and Benicia squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Petaluma had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Petaluma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Wilson has snagged this season.

Petaluma has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season. As for Benicia, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

As of now, neither Petaluma nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
