Softball Game Preview: Springfield Tigers vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Springfield will face off against Western Reserve. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Springfield will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Western Reserve, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Tigers put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 15-1 win on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Western Reserve's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Averie Hendon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Isbelle Moran also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Springfield now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Western Reserve, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
