Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Takes a Loss

Pinecrest Academy Cadence lost against Boulder City back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Zanai Jackson paced Pinecrest Academy Cadence's offense, picking up nine kills. Jackson got some help from Cali Wellington and her 14 assists. Finally, Bailey Cox kept Pinecrest Academy Cadence's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Leading Boulder City to victory were Ally Jappe and Hayden Nordstrom. Jappe had six digs and six aces, while Nordstrom had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Nordstrom has posted over her last six contests.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. As for Boulder City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Del Sol on the 27th. As for Boulder City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Virgin Valley on the 27th.
