Basketball Recap: Floyd Central Comes Up Short

Floyd Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the North Central Panthers and fell 76-45. The Highlanders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-19.

When it comes to explaining why Floyd Central lost, don't look at Carter Mcquigg. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 9 on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Mcquigg a new career-high in assists (four). Isaac Kaiser was another key player, putting up nine points.

Floyd Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for North Central, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Floyd Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-59 loss against Columbus East on the 11th. As for North Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-64 defeat against Hamilton Southeastern on the 7th.
