Football Recap: Valley Christian Lions vs. Valley Vikings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delta, Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 24-12 win over the Valley Vikings. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Noah Lutes had a dynamite game, rushing for 70 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Valley Christian's defense and their four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Paxton Pebley, Jackson Barna, and Stephen Morse, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Valley's side was Pebley, who picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made five total tackles.
