Whitney has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pleasant Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Whitney Wildcats will welcome the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Neither Whitney nor Pleasant Grove posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Whitney is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Rocklin just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Emma Rabe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Grace Boyd also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove came up short against Oak Ridge on Wednesday, falling 8-1.

Pleasant Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shealynn Stinson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pleasant Grove's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Whitney, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Whitney came out on top in a nail-biter against Pleasant Grove in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Does Whitney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pleasant Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
