Springfield waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Ravenna Ravens 9-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Lilli Stokes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Springfield let Kendall Crytzer and Bre Ruggiero run wild. Crytzer went 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ruggiero went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Crytzer has posted since back in March of 2024. Emily Crytzer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
