Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

Walled Lake Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Milford Mavericks 58-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-39 on January 7th.

Walled Lake Western's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Milford, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Walled Lake Western will be playing at home against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walled Lake Northern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Milford, they will head out on the road to challenge Mott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Mott has won four straight at home, while Milford won five straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
