Volleyball Recap: Ava Tipton Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat East Lincoln

Kings Mountain won the last time they faced East Lincoln and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mountaineers blew past the Mustangs 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountaineers.

Kings Mountain's got stronger as the match went on, holding East Lincoln to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-15.

Kings Mountain got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Tipton out in front who had 18 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Tipton has posted over her last eight matchups. Abigail Hedgepath was another key player, getting 14 digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Kings Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Kings Mountain's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for East Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
