Basketball Game Preview: Poston Butte Broncos vs. ALA - Queen Creek Patriots

The Poston Butte Broncos will challenge the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Poston Butte is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Eastmark just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 68-24 defeat at the hands of the Firebirds. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Firebirds are ranked 42nd).

The losing side was boosted by Symirah Gray, who posted 18 points and four steals. Her evening made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, ALA - Queen Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 95-18 loss at the hands of Higley.

Poston Butte's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-10. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
