Soccer Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

If Waynesboro was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of James Buchanan on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians lost 5-0 to the Shippensburg Greyhounds on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Waynesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Shippensburg are ranked 104th).

Waynesboro's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Shippensburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesboro will take on Boiling Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynesboro will need to watch out since Boiling Springs have now posted at least four goals in their last four matches. As for Shippensburg, they will welcome Biglerville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Biglerville's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
