Baseball Recap: Wabaunsee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chase County on Tuesday, Wabaunsee came back down to earth. The Chargers came up short against the Osage City Indians on Thursday, falling 16-6. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jude Meseke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Shoffner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Wabaunsee's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Osage City, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Wabaunsee by a score of 17-0 later that day.
