Basketball Recap: Stratford Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Stratford Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Frankie Raines Jr. The Stratford Academy Eagles walked away with a 64-57 win over the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots on Friday thanks in part to Raines Jr, who went 14 for 22 on his way to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gates, who posted nine points along with five assists and five boards. That's the most boards he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Stratford Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Stratford Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-44 victory against Pinewood Christian on the 28th. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-62 win against Tattnall Square Academy on the 28th.
