New Fairfield was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bunnell on Monday. The Rebels put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-3 win. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

New Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Bunnell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, New Fairfield will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Nonnewaug at 4:15 p.m. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bunnell, they are taking a road trip to square off against Notre Dame Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
