Volleyball Recap: Maddie Summers and Lola Loncar Secure Win for Lake Catholic

Lake Catholic won the last time they faced Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars blew past the Royals 3-0. The Cougars not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

While Lake Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-23, 25-16.

Leading Lake Catholic to victory were Lola Loncar and Maddie Summers. Loncar had 15 digs and four aces, while Summers had 11 digs. Loncar is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for Lake Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Lake Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Beaumont School on the 23rd. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Walsh Jesuit on the 20th.
