Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laguna Creek). They blew past the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack 18-3 on Wednesday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Dom Rivera looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Laguna Creek is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Seth Lal was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Tyger Peterson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Laguna Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.

Laguna Creek's record is now 7-8. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Laguna Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolfpack: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
