Softball Recap: Costa Mesa Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Costa Mesa waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Tustin Tillers by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-15 on April 1st.

Alyssa Ochoa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Victoria Rios was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Emiley Davis, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Costa Mesa's record is now 13-6-1. As for Tustin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Costa Mesa and Tustin will both be playing Santa Ana the next time they take the field. The Tillers will head out to face the Saints at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mustangs will host them at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
