Softball Recap: Valley City Comes Up Short

Valley City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-14 to the Fargo North Spartans. The Hi-Liners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Bailey Leroux made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Valley City's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fargo North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Valley City is set to face off against their familiar foe Horace at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fargo North will square off against rival Fargo Davies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
