Newburg is 10-0 against Laquey since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Newburg Wolves will host the Laquey Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Newburg will be strutting in after a win while Laquey will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Newburg blew past Tuscumbia, posting a 58-18 victory. The game marked the Wolves' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Laquey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against Fordland, falling 41-8. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Laquey's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Newburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Newburg didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Laquey in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win. Does Newburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Laquey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
