Softball Recap: Juanita Ravens vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Skyline, Juanita was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Lake Washington Kangaroos. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Ravens as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Elliott Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Josie Peeler was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Molly Benson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Peeler wasn't the only one making solid contact: Juanita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Washington only managed five hits.
