Baseball Preview: Bradford Tornadoes vs. Williston Red Devils
The Bradford Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Williston Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Friday, Bradford didn't have quite enough to beat Branford and fell 2-1.
Bradford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Williston got the win against Seven Rivers Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-2. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Williston also got a great performance from Ethan Morrow as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.
On the hitting side, Thomas Smith was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Harlan Cole, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Williston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seven Rivers Christian only posted a batting average of .087.
Bradford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Williston, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Bradford suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Williston in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Tornadoes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
