Sprayberry extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jaden Duckett. The Yellow Jackets enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over the Etowah Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Duckett, who rushed for 152 yards and one score on only five carries, and also threw for 214 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Sprayberry's defense made their presence known, laying out Zeke Douglass. four times. Gabe Clarke was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Sprayberry got some further help from Saiky Minnifield: he picked up a sack, made 11 total tackles, and defended one pass.

Despite the loss, Etowah still got an impressive performance from Douglass, who rushed for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 156 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Walker Hughes.

Sprayberry's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Etowah, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sprayberry will welcome Kennesaw Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Etowah, they will challenge Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
