Football Game Preview: Harlem Huskies vs. Central Rockets + Official Tickets

The Harlem Huskies will take on the Central Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harlem's defense has only allowed 13.7 points per game this season, so Central's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Harlem is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Mather get on the board and left with a 62-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Harlem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tykeese Duncan, who rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of La'Darrius Foster, who rushed for 54 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Harlem was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.

Harlem didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lebron McClelland and Caleb Gaye. McClelland got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Central came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 21-17 W against the Wildcats.

Harlem's record now sits at 8-2. As for Central, their record is now 9-1.
