Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Christian Sharks vs. American Heritage Stallions

The Atlantic Christian Sharks will venture away from home to challenge the American Heritage Stallions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Atlantic Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering King's Academy just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0.

While Atlantic Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

Meanwhile, American Heritage lost 3-0 to Pine Crest on Wednesday. The Stallions have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

American Heritage was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Atlantic Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for American Heritage, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Atlantic Christian's way against American Heritage when the teams last played back in March, as Atlantic Christian made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
