James River Midlothian is 8-2 against Cosby since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The James River Midlothian Rapids' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cosby Titans at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
Last Friday, James River Midlothian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-53 to L.C. Bird. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points James River Midlothian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Cosby came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Huguenot 55-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cosby has posted yet this season.
James River Midlothian's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2. As for Cosby, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
James River Midlothian skirted past Cosby 73-70 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for James River Midlothian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
