Volleyball Recap: Tolman Has No Trouble Against Pilgrim

Tolman won the last time they faced Pilgrim and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots.

Tolman not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pilgrim between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-15.

Hayson Ortiz paced Tolman's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ortiz got some help from Jean-Lucas Barroso and his 29 assists. Ortiz was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Tolman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Pilgrim, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Tolman will host Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pilgrim does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
