Recap: Jordan-Elbridge Eagles vs. Marcellus Mustangs

After flying high against the Hannibal Warriors last Thursday, the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles came back down to earth. Jordan-Elbridge had to suffer through a rough 84-40 loss at the hands of Marcellus. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jordan-Elbridge has scored all season.

Mitch Donegan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marcellus, scoring 25 points along with four steals. Tucker Burnett was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Jordan-Elbridge's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-4. As for Marcellus, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Jordan-Elbridge will head out on the road to face off against Lyme Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lyme Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Marcellus will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Syracuse Academy of Science at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
