Volleyball Recap: Gretna Falls Short Against Ranked Elkhorn North

Gretna faced Elkhorn North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Dragons fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Despite the loss, Gretna still got an impressive performance from Lily Zimmerman, who had 11 digs and one assist. Zimmerman has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Gretna's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Elkhorn North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Gretna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Skutt Catholic on the 30th. As for Elkhorn North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Papillion-LaVista South on the 30th.
