Baseball Recap: Strom Thurmond Takes a Loss

Strom Thurmond is still winless after their contest against Batesburg-Leesville on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Strom Thurmond's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-1 record this season.

Strom Thurmond will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they will be playing at home against Strom Thurmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
