             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Miami Valley Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Manchester Greyhounds with a sharp  45-20 win on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their nine-point performance the  game before.
  Caleb Abshire was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 342 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Jeremiah DesJardins made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Miami Valley Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 377  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Miami Valley Christian Academy's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  DesJardins and  Kyle Caldwell.
 When it comes to explaining why Manchester lost, don't look at  Leland Horner. Despite the final result, he threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami Valley Christian Academy will square off against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Miami Valley Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 17.8  points per game  this season, so Cincinnati Country Day's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Manchester, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Crestline  at 4:00  p.m.
