Preview: Providence Classical Christian Warriors vs. Academe of the Oaks Firebirds
The Providence Classical Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Academe of the Oaks Firebirds at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Providence Classical Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-37 loss to Peachtree Academy. Providence Classical Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Academe of the Oaks, who are still winless after their sixth game. They fell just short of Providence Classical Christian by a score of 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Providence Classical Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Academe of the Oaks, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Providence Classical Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Academe of the Oaks in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 57-55.
