Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Taylor's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

If Crescent City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Taylor, they should've done a better job of containing James Thomas. The Taylor Wildcats secured a 66-61 W over the Crescent City Raiders on Wednesday thanks in part to Thomas, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season.

Zachery McKinnon was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five blocks. That's the most blocks he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Taylor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Crescent City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Taylor will venture away from home to take on St. John Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crescent City has already played their next game (against Menendez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
