Basketball Game Preview: Elmwood Park Crusaders vs. Garfield Boilermakers

The Elmwood Park Crusaders will head out on the road to take on the Garfield Boilermakers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elmwood Park will be strutting in after a victory while Garfield will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Elmwood Park turned things around against Saddle Brook on Thursday. They blew past the Falcons 65-40. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Crusaders this season.

Meanwhile, Garfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology 67-39.

Elmwood Park's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Garfield, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Elmwood Park ended up a good deal behind Garfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 48-29. Can Elmwood Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
