Basketball Recap: Hernando Falls Short of Southaven in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hernando can now relate to. They lost 75-52 to the Southaven Chargers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost four in a row.

Cael Jones was a one-man wrecking crew for Southaven as he went 9 of 13 en route to 22 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jayven Welch, who posted nine points and six assists.

Hernando's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Southaven, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

As of now, neither Hernando nor Southaven have any future games scheduled.
