Basketball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Selma Saints and fell 57-29. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Saints are ranked 196th).

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Selma, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Southside has already played their next contest (against Shields), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Selma, they will take on Jemison at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
