Underclassman Lila Alvarez came into Monday's match looking to prove herself and that's exactly what she did. She wasn't messing around on Monday, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her 12th straight with two or fewer walks.
