After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty-Eylau, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Tatum Eagles 49-14. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 35 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Travis Gray Jr, who picked up 44 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 32 yards.

Another reason for the win was Jefferson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Aaron Bellard with two. Jayson Burton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jefferson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games. As for Tatum, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 40-14 defeat against Commerce on the 14th. Tatum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
