Volleyball Recap: King Find Success

King's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lakeside Lancers.

While King won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Mahin Hoque paced King's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoque got some help from Giovanny Madott and his 21 assists. Madott was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

King's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Lakeside, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Vasquez on the 8th. As for Lakeside, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Temescal Canyon on the 8th.
