Basketball Recap: Amherst Takes a Loss

Amherst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds 54-27. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Amherst's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Amherst Falcons face off against the Almond-Bancroft Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will take on Edgar at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
