Baseball Recap: Heritage Huskies vs. Pinecrest Patriots
Heritage hadn't done well against Pinecrest recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Heritage came out on top against Pinecrest by a score of 8-5. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
William Leahy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Heritage is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Jack Merrell was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Tyler Abbe was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
