Softball Preview: Marshall Barristers vs. Bravo Knights

The Marshall Barristers will square off against the Bravo Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marshall took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Lincoln 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Alany Mendoza, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Cordova, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bravo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Marshall, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
