Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Carroll Lions vs. Gonzaga Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Archbishop Carroll Lions will jump right back in to play the Gonzaga Eagles at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Archbishop Carroll's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Archbishop Carroll is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They snuck past Roosevelt with a 73-67 victory.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga and Paul VI (ranked 14th and 12th in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile game on Monday. Gonzaga took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paul VI. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Gonzaga's loss dropped their record down to 26-5. As for Archbishop Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 17-15.

Archbishop Carroll took a serious blow against Gonzaga in their previous matchup on Saturday, falling 95-58. Can Archbishop Carroll avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
