Baseball Game Preview: Notre Dame (SO) Knights vs. Harvard-Westlake Wolverines

For the second straight game, Notre Dame (SO) will face off against Harvard-Westlake. The Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Notre Dame (SO)'s pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Harvard-Westlake. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th.

Not much got past JuJu Diaz-Jones, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Harvard-Westlake off the board.

On the hitting side, Malakye Matsumoto was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Dru Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Notre Dame (SO)'s victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Harvard-Westlake, they moved to 12-6 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
