If Bisbee was feeling good fresh off their 90-23 takedown of Valley Union last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bisbee Pumas fell just short of the Willcox Cowboys by a score of 72-69 on Thursday. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-38 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bisbee still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. Caden Hooper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Willcox, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 17 boards. Hooper's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was JD Whetten, who posted five points along with nine assists, six rebounds, and six steals.

Bisbee's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Willcox, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.
